Can Pigs Get Man-Flu?

So it is an hour before I go to work, and I can only be bothered to play WSC Real 09 as I do not have enough time for any other games at the moment, man...I feel as sick as a pig...

Chalk Scores

I have noticed that this morning my score was finally updated on my gamercard (as I left the XBOX signed in for ten minutes). I rarely sign into XBOX Live now as my internet connection is very slow, but this is being upgraded soon so hopefully I will be battling it out online again! As my score has been updated I have entered the top 500 players in my regional area again, and hopefully with some dedicated playing this week I will be able to gain some more position in the leaderboard.

Not Before Long

Finally I have managed to get some time for myself today and I have picked up WSC Real 09. I know...not A-TrainHX like I was planning and definitely not Civilization Revolution, but they may still have time to show their faces. Well I have decided on trying to get some more achievements done on this incredibly hard game, and I am jumping straight back into season mode.

Ok, so two hours of play and not one gamerpoint to add to my name. Nevermind though, I managed to get through another 3 matches in season mode so I am nearer, hopefully, a handful of achievements further on in the game!

Of Mice and Men...

So Civilization has not yet materialized, nor anything else for that matter. I may jump onto A-TrainHX this evening, I am not yet sure. I am within nine minds after completing The Godfather II as nothing is going to top that experience for a while.

Vēnī, vīdī, vīcī

So on the cards today I will have a massive stab at some points on Civilization Revolution - a game that I much underestimated after downloading the demo. It is an amazing game, and has been superbly modified from the PC-based Civilization series to suit console-play. A moral in this blog is to try out the full game before you decide whether it is your 'cup of tea,' and not to go on the basis of what a demo gives you. I may also go down the route of my new games previously mentioned - A-TrainHX, Shrek The Third and WALL-E. Games still unplayed feature - Wanted: Weapons of Fate, Wheelman, Bomberman: Act Zero, Ninja Blade, Stormrise and The Shivering Isles expansion pack for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

929 Centuries

So my games collection has risen to 190+ XBOX 360 games now, and I will not sell one of them! One day I will put them into alphabetical order for ease of use.

I have recently been on the second-hand market and purchased myself Shrek The Third, Wall-E and A-TrainHX. I believe that I can get at least 2500 total gamerpoints from these games so I will choose a day that I have a lot of free time and then attack, attack - attack! I stand at 92,915 at the present time (mygamercard.net does not seem to show my full gamerscore for some reason), and I aim to hit 100,000 points within 4 weeks. Taking into consideration the most amount of points I have achieved in one day was 28,000, this should not be too difficult.

Trivial King

Well I managed my 1000 gamerpoints on Trivial Pursuit just recently. I managed a whopping 3.44 seconds in the "Clear the Board" game, ranking myself 9th in the world, and just 2 seconds away from first place! Also I managed the maximum amount of points possible on the same game (100,800) answering all 61 questions correctly and giving myself maximum multipliers on all subjects. This game certainly has had some playability, with hardly any repeated questions yet (and probably around 30 hours playtime to far) it has been a worthwhile investment. The downside, however, was the free Movie Trivia package that was available to download from XBOX Live. I find the question so diverse and difficult one minute, then so stupidly easy and repetitive the next that I do not think it is worth keeping for myself. I do hope that the next package is improved somewhat. Overall though a great game to play alone and an even better game to play with friends or family.

Don Wolfgang

Well I played the Godfather II for another 2 hours today and finally got the full 1000 points from the game, so that makes an additional 550 points to my gamerscore today. I started to play The Chronicles of Riddick but wasn't too impressed by it so far, perhaps it will warm up when I play further into it.

I have never seen the Godfather films, but this game (Godfather II) inspired me to go out and purchase the trilogy. The graphics are nowhere near fantastic, and there are a handful of Sandbox games out on the market that would beat the Godfather II hands down on the graphics front, but the sound was awesome and the gameplay did not slack at all. In fact I find it hard these days to find games with gameplay that will keep me playing until I have completed a game 100%, and usually I drift into other games quickly, but this game was one of those magnificent few that held me up until the last gunshot! The secrets and collectibles were just the right amount, and were not too difficult to find, nor too easy. The amount of different execution moves available added an extra zing to the gameplay, and the story-line coupled with the maintaining of crime-rings made a splendid story-based Sandbox game. Keep making them like this! My rating - 85%.

The start of something new

So here I am with my, hopefully, daily blog about my gamerscore on the XBOX 360. I have gained 92,000 points at this point in time in just under a year of having my console, and now I will leave a note each time I make a boost on what I have achieved and possibly hints and tips on how you can do the same thing.
